Fred was born on Wednesday, January 18, 1933 in Smithville, Texas to Tillie & Lad Psencik. He was the oldest child and has one beloved sister Tracey. Fred passed away peacefully to heaven on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 88 years of age while residing in Towers Nursing Home.

Fred grew up on his family farm. He was known as Freddie throughout school. He was FHA Sweetheart; Best All-Around; and a Choral Club member. Also, captain of the Smithville Tiger football team when they won All-District championship his senior year!

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, softball and he was an exceptional dancer! He was an involved father who attended all of his children’s activities. He loved the country, and was a true cattleman and loved his dogs.

Fred married Yvonne Shuler on April 16, 1988, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Married 32 years last year, Fred surprised his wife Yvonne with a beautiful bouquet of roses. Yvonne and Fred had a deep unconditional love for one another and stood by each other always.

Special thanks to their neighbor David (Bud) and Judy Evanicky, sister Barbara (Cookie) Evanicky who always watched over them, and showed such love to our family. Towers Nursing Home, Jake and Jimie, we thank you for all your loving service extended to Fred and Yvonne as family. Fred was dearly loved by so many there. With much gratitude we also thank Cynthia (Cindy) and Hannah Stickle, and carriage horses Candy and Sunny, for fulfilling Fred’s farewell wishes! Last, but not least, our precious church family at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where Fred was baptized, received his first holy communion and confirmation.
Our hearts are so very saddened; however, our spirits rejoice with Fred in his ultimate healing, now home free!
Fred wrote out in his own hand, to be read,
“As you are now, I once was. As I am now, you will someday be.”
“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

We are blessed to have a wonderful extended family, with Fred in our lives all these years and cherish the memories we will hold dear to our hearts.
We love you Fred!
Blessings always,
